Overview:
Everyone that loves music craves a pair of really nice headphones, or Earbuds. We all want our music to sound more real, and that is an experience that can really crank up sales for companies that produce quality products. Generally my experience with Sony has been very good, and their products are usually of a higher quality. Although with these Sony EX Earbuds I was not as impressed as I usually am. They are really nice Earbuds overall but they do have their negatives.
Design:

The Sony EX Earbud Headphones are curved near the tips so they fit more comfortably in your ear unlike most Earbuds which are just straight. The headphones come with three different sized tips so that you can choose the one that fits best in your ear. Overall they were very comfortable, although one thing I have to note is that the tips pop off very easily which can be annoying at times.

Palm came out with the Pre almost a year ago in an attempt to salvage their company that was falling financially into ruins. The one aspect of the phone that they counted on the most (I believe) was the fact that it had a brand new operating system, and brought users a new and much improves experience that what they had ever had before on a Palm phone. After the Pre wasn’t catching on in the market as much as they expected (hoped) they wanted to get another product out there to cater to a different type of consumer. That was product was the Palm Pixi, which was originally released on the Sprint Network, and was relaunched under a slightly different name with Verizon Wireless.

Documents to go is a really stable, and useful iPhone/iPod Touch application. It allows you to edit, create and view Microsoft Word documents, as well as Excel Documents.
Docs to Go lets you synchronize your files over to your PC or mac so if you are working on a paper for school and you need to make some changes to it you can sync it to your iPhone or iPod touch and edit it in the application. There is also the option to just have files you make on your device and you can send them out as email attachments.
Here is a quick look at the interface-

When you are first opening up the application you go to a screen that shows you a couple different options. When you tap on Local Files you will go to all of the files that you have saved on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Recent Files is also very useful when editing something on the go.
If you want to create a new document you just tap the icon that has a plus sign on it in the upper right corner, and you will get the ability to choose to email an attachment, Create a Word Document, or to Create an Excel Document.

Microsoft has been in the smartphone OS game for a while now, but until recently Windows Mobile was frowned upon by many users. Quiet honestly windows mobile has quite a few problems, such as the non web-kit mobile internet explorer web browser, and how it works horribly with touch screen unless the company that is manufacturing their phone optimized it with their own user interface. The list goes on and on. It doesn’t seem like that’s is going to be the problem for very much longer.
This year at the Mobile World Conference, Microsoft announced their new smartphone operating system ‘Windows Phone 7 Series’. It has a new feel to it a more streamlined User Interface that look strikingly similar to what Microsoft conjured up with the Zune HD.
User Interface:
Windows Mobile for a long time looked very complicated to use, and was very complicated to use [for some] It wasn’t until the release of Windows Mobile 6.5 that the operating system became more finger friendly, but it still had its downfalls.
With Windows Phone 7 Series Microsoft completely redesigned the whole user experience by revamping the style of their UI. It’s like a big hub for your friends [People], Messages, Xbox Live, Social Networks, Music, Web. all wrapped up into a main menu grid like system Called ‘Metro’.

Overview:
The Dell Studio laptops have been around for almost a year, and Dell puts them up there pretty high. Dell markets their Studio XPS laptops to compete directly against Apple’s MacBook, and other high end gaming and multimedia laptops. In most cases the Dell Studio XPS 13 holds up pretty well.
Specifications:
- 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 Processor
- 4 gigabytes of DDr3 SD
- 320 gigabyte Hard Drive running at 7200 rpm
- A Nvidia GeForce 9400M G integrated and GeForce 9200M (256MB)
- Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
- Weight: 4.8 pounds
I purchased the Dell Studio XPS 13 from best buy on May 28th 2009. It was on sale for $899.99 (not including sales tax) Overall it was a good buy
Before I purchased the laptop I did a lot of comparison with some other computers like the white Apple Macbook, and the Sony FW series laptops. The Dell Studio XPS 1340 is very well places in the category with the amount of features that can be added, and what comes in the base unit.

The new over-ear Beats Spin headphones combine sophisticated construction and advanced sonic technologies to deliver the power, extra durability and sound isolation that until now has been lacking in professional headphones. Beats Spin headphones are tailored for use by working DJs, producers, engineers and musicians, both in the studio and onstage.
Dr. Dre noted: “Our first headphones delivered what we wanted: to hear the music the right way, the way I do. Now we are introducing headphones that let you use them the way I do. We created headphones that are specifically designed for the people on the front lines: engineers, producers, djs…I basically wake up with headphones on….trust me, these are the s**t.”
Noel Lee, the Head Monster, noted: “To create Beats Spin, Monster and the Beats by Dr. Dre team conducted in-depth research with many of the industry’s top professional recording artists, engineers and DJs to find out just what they wanted in a great headphone. One of the things we heard most from them is that they need a super-durable headphone that could be counted on for repeated use. In addition to making this and other specific professional concerns a top priority, our engineers worked hard to develop a headphone with impeccable sonic performance that would be ideal for everyday use by anybody who is truly serious about their music listening. The result is a first-of-its-kind high-performance headphone with a host of extremely useful innovations that will literally change the way pros think about their headphones and how they use them in their work and their leisure time.”
Beats Spin new and innovative features and capabilities include:
Unprecedented Durability: To create a headphone capable of standing up to the rigors of rough and repeated professional use, every aspect of Beats Spin headphones was designed for rock-solid durability. Most importantly, all components of the all-important headphone hinge are made of metal, unlike the plastic components used by other pro headphones.
Sound Isolation: To recreate the quietness of an isolated recording studio listening experience, Beats Spin headphones feature a variety of ambient noise-isolation capabilities, allowing consumers to hear the music clearly, even in the noisiest environments.
On-the-Fly Mixing and Sharing with Monster Patented Input/Output Jacks: For musicians or engineers working in the studio, as well as DJs spinning in a club, the art of creation involves a great deal of on-the-fly improvisation. That’s why both Beats Spin earpieces feature specially designed Monster patented jacks that can serve as both inputs or outputs. This unique configuration frees users to quickly and easily send and accept signals from a soundboard or share their creative mixes with fellow artists.
“No More Tangle” Cord Management, Plus ControlTalk™: Beats Spin solve the problem of tangled cable with several key modifications. First, they feature a long 6-foot cord, and unlike many professional headphone models, which utilize 9- or 12-inch coiled sections, the coiled section of the Beats Spin cable is just 3” long (expandable to 1-foot). This allows users just the right amount of coil for long reaches, but avoids the high tangle properties of longer coil cables. Beats Spin also offer a second cord option for added flexibility in everyday use as well – Monster’s super-convenient ControlTalk headphone cable*. ControlTalk can be used with iPhone™ and iPod for music playback control as well as to take hands-free calls with iPhone and many smartphones. The cable’s integrated high-grade microphone and answer button lets users access their music and answer phone calls without having to reach into their pocketbook, backpack or pocket.
Ear Cups That Swivel and Can Be Removed for Cleaning. Both ear cups swivel back easily for greater artistic freedom and flexibility and can be easily removed for washing. This same swivel mechanism also plays a role in helping make Beats Spin headphones super compact when folded away for storage.

Dr. Dre’s headphone company, Beats have teamed up with computer giants HP to create the worlds first Laptop designed especially for DJs. The not so catchy named Envy 15 Beats Edition not only looks the part, with a gloss black finish and Apple-esque light-up logo on the back, but also has a lot of power. On the inside, there is a Intel Core i7 chipset, Mobility Radeon HD 4830 graphics card and up to a 16GB RAM. Of course it wouldn’t be music-led limited edition without Traktor LE DJ software for live DJing and a pair of Beats over ear headphones. It will be launched on October 22nd so as expected; it will feature Windows 7 and will cost roughly $2,999, meaning that the Beats 15 costs about $500 more the original Envy 15.

Here you can see the light up logo on the back
Personally, if I had the money I would definitely buy this laptop. If its anything like most other HP laptops, it is going to be amazing. Although it does look a lot like a MacBook copy with the red, light up Beats logo on the bag, the free headphones and DJ software certainly make up for it.
